Avery Dennison Introduces New Impact-resistant RFID Tags

Avery Dennison RFID, a division of Avery Dennison, Inc., a leading supplier of RFID technology, has announced the launch of the new RFID tag AD-908.

The AD-908 is a rugged RFID tag that offers excellent RF performance and can operate in harsh environments and packaging conditions.

George Dyche, the company’s durable product manager, said: “End users often come up with many applications that are suitable for RFID applications, but they are distressed by the lack of suitable RFID tags. It is the user’s distress that has led us to the determination to develop the AD-908 label. ."
This new type of tag has a soldered case that houses the AD-222 Gen 2 UHF RFID chip internally and is readable worldwide. The impact resistance of the shell meets the requirements of IP67 and is not affected by ultraviolet rays. It can be connected with other objects through bolts or rivets.

The AD-908 has a flat, transparent housing that can house company tags or bar code labels to ensure they are not affected by the environment. You can also provide users with already-programmed tags if needed.
