New food packaging plastics

Japan's Central Chemical Corporation recently developed a plastic for food packaging containers that meets the principles of environmental protection—CT.

This plastic is a new composite made by adding approximately half the amount of talc in polypropylene plastic. This material is not only resistant to high temperatures, but also has one of the most prominent advantages. Its function is similar to that of plastic products known as "foam plastics", and its volume is only equivalent to 1/4 of the latter. In this way, it avoids many troubles caused by the bulkiness in recycling, and creates positive conditions for recycling and utilization of its waste products, thereby eliminating the negative impact on the environment.
