According to the company's technical person in charge, the "bio-oxidation method" pulp and paper technology is completely owned from the research and development theme to intellectual property rights. There are 35 patented inventions, which have the characteristics of alkali-free, sulfur-free and chlorine-free, water saving, power saving, low cost and so on.

In August 2017, Guoliyuan carried out a technical renovation of an old paper mill that had been shut down for 5 years in Dandong, Liaoning.
