Engine testing equipment (1) I. General instrumentation 1. Cylinder pressure gauge (2504) Cylinder pressure measurement is an important part of engine detection. Cylinder pressure gauge is a common instrument for measuring cylinder pressure. MODEL 2504 is distributed by Yantai Aikeqiang Company. The cylinder pressure gauge produced by KAL Company of the United States uses a quick joint to connect the high-pressure hose and can be directly threaded and connected to the spark plug seat hole. This connection method is most convenient for a complicated modern automobile engine. As shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1 Cylinder Pressure Gauge The cylinder compression pressure test uses a cylinder pressure gauge. The following steps should be taken during the test. 1. First make the engine run normally. 2. Remove the spark plug 3. Read the cylinder pressure indication value.
4. Remove the fuel pump insurance. 5. Open the throttle valve and the choke valve. 6. Connect the cylinder pressure gauge to the spark plug seat hole. 7. Use the starter to rotate the engine crankshaft 3-5S (speed 130-250r / min). Repeat reading cylinder pressure 2-3 times 9. Calculate the average cylinder pressure value should meet the manufacturer's specifications, the error between cylinders should not exceed 10% of its standard cylinder pressure, or the average pressure of each cylinder is 8 %. 2. Cylinder Air Leakage Rate Meter (QLY-1) Cylinder air leak rate analysis is a method of checking the relative air leakage rate of a cylinder by adding compressed air to the combustion chamber when the piston is at the compression top dead center. It can more accurately determine the location of the cylinder leak and the amount of air leakage. Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of cylinder air leak rate measurement. The compressed air passes through the tube 1, the pressure regulating valve 2, the pressure reducing valve 4, the measuring hole B and the tube 8, and enters the cylinder to be tested through the spark plug hole. Before the measurement, the instrument should be adjusted first. Adjust the intake pressure with the pressure regulating valve 2 to make it equivalent to the compression pressure of the cylinder (0.7-0.9MPa for the gasoline engine). Observe with the air pressure gauge 3 and adjust with the adjusting screw 4. The pressure method makes the outlet valve 7 fully closed (corresponding to the cylinder full seal). The pointer of the pressure gauge 6 indicates "0" position. When the outlet valve is fully open, the compression is performed.
The air flows out from the measuring hole A, and the pointer of the pressure gauge 6 indicates "100" position.

Cylinder air leak rate. At this time, the amount of gas leaking from the measuring hole A depends on the degree of sealing of the cylinder, and reflects the wear and failure of the cylinder piston group. Analysis of test results: 0 to 10% good 10% to 20% generally 20% to 30% difference 30% or more problems
