The full explanation of the display technology language (below)

Two. Technical indicators and other.

1. Dot Pitch.

The dot pitch is one of the most important technical parameters of the picture tube. Its unit is mm mm. It refers to the straight line distance between two closest fluorescent spots of the same color in the picture tube. The smaller the dot distance, the better, the smaller the dot distance, the display. The clearer the display graphics. Dividing the width and height of the display area by the dot pitch gives the maximum number of points the display can display in the vertical and horizontal directions. Taking a 14-inch, 0.28mm dot-pitch display as an example, it can display up to 1024 points in the horizontal direction and up to 768 points in the vertical direction, so the limit resolution is 1024x768, which exceeds this mode. Pixels interfere with one another and instead blur the image. The early 14-inch displays were divided into 0.28, 0.31, and 0.39mm sizes, while the current displays typically use dot pitches of 0.28 and 0.27. In addition, as you can see, there is also a concept of horizontal dot pitch, 0.28 dot pitch and 0.24 horizontal dot pitch.

2. BAR PITCH.

The kinescope on the market has two types of shadow masks and shaded gratings, so when it comes to this problem, it should be divided into two concepts: pitch and pitch. As shown in Figure 6, the grating pitch is the distance between gratings parallel to the image barrier of the raster grating. It is represented by high-end displays such as "Tili" and "Diamond Files". The advantage of using a raster image tube is that The grid pitch will not be deformed even if it is used for a long period of time. The monitor will not suffer from degradation in image quality for many years, while the shadow mask type will have the opposite effect, and the dots will be deformed. Therefore, long-term use will result in a small drop in brightness. The problem of change. On the other hand, because the shader type can transmit more light, it can achieve higher brightness and contrast, making the image more vivid and natural.

3. Refresh rate.

The refresh rate refers to the speed at which the screen refreshes. Its unit is Hz [Hz]. The lower the refresh rate, the more flickering and flickering the image, and the faster the eyes become tired. The higher the refresh rate, the more natural and clear the image display is. Naturally, if you can achieve a refresh rate of 80Hz or more, you can completely eliminate image flicker and jitter, and the eyes will not be too tired. In the millennium, this is the most common display. Basic requirements.

The horizontal refresh rate, also called horizontal scale scanning frequency, is the number of horizontal lines scanned by the monitor in seconds. Its unit is KHz. The vertical refresh rate, also called Vertical scanning frequency, is expressed in MHz. It is determined by the horizontal refresh rate and the screen resolution. The vertical refresh rate indicates how many times the screen image is redrawn every second. Refers to the number of screen refreshes per second, in general, the vertical refresh rate should not be less than 85Hz.

4. RESOLUTION.

Resolution is the stuff we all know, it defines the resolution of the display screen, as long as the bandwidth of the display is greater than the acceptable bandwidth of a resolution, it can reach this resolution, it usually uses a product to Indicated. It indicates the number of pixels in the horizontal direction [horizontal resolution] and the number of pixels in the vertical direction [vertical resolution], such as 800600dpi, 1024X768dpi, and so on. It is worth mentioning that the resolution that a monitor can achieve at a refresh rate of 75 Hz is its true resolution. Currently, the resolution of some advertisements is often the maximum resolution that can be achieved under extremely low refresh rates. Generally, it is not possible to provide stable images above 75 Hz. This is of little significance. Many of the displays have many technical specifications this year. There is reflection.

5. Bandwidth (BANDWIDTH).

7A-B, bandwidth refers to the range of frequencies that a particular electronic device can handle. It determines the range of information that a display can handle. The wide bandwidth can handle higher frequencies and the image quality is naturally better. The gap between the bandwidth of professional display monitors and general applications is huge. The higher the bandwidth is, the more expensive the display is. This is why some small brand displays do not want to mark the bandwidth standard. In general, our simple formula for acceptable bandwidth is: Acceptable bandwidth = horizontal resolution X vertical resolution X maximum refresh rate X1.5. For example, a monitor it supports 800600X85Hz, then its bandwidth is 800600X85HzX1.5 = 61.2MHz; another monitor it supports 1024X768X85Hz, then its bandwidth is 1024X768X85HzX1.5 = 100.2MHz, in the millennium, about 100MHz display bandwidth has been Became a default basic "standard", and some high-level displays can reach a level of about 200MHz at higher resolutions.

6. Viewable area.

The viewable area refers to the maximum range that your monitor can display. The 17-inch and 15-inch we usually refer to the size of the picture tube. The actual visible area (the screen) is far from this size. The 14-inch display often has a 12-inch viewing range; the 15-inch display has a visible range of about 13.8 inches; and the 17-inch display has a viewing area that is mostly between 15 and 16 inches.
