Krones Steamless Mineral Water Filling System Volumetic VODM-PET

The Krones AG in Neutraubling, Germany, has designed and developed a Volumetic VODM-PET system for the filling of PET bottles without sparkling mineral water. The Volumetic VODM-PET is also suitable for other low-foam, non-steam products.

The new filling machine is designed and manufactured according to the principle of a volumetric filling system with an inductive flowmeter, and its power can be up to 72,000 bottles per hour. The electronically controlled filling system has many functions and can be optimally adjusted under different filling conditions. Use filling angles to make adjustments for non-level filling quantities as much as possible with different bottle types, so that the system can achieve high-precision filling results when filling different sizes of bottles.

Three filling speeds

Two different filling rates can be achieved with two diaphragm switch valves on the filling valve. The combination of different speeds allows the filling process to consistently maintain product characteristics.

The mouth of the container is not exposed to any contact and contamination during the entire filling process. The system uses separate channels to separate the product and return air. Respiratory emissions outdoor eliminate the possibility of bacteria multiplying in product boilers. The use of an automatic cleaning cup optimizes the cleaning operation of the CIP/SIP process. The gripping neck system also shows its superiority in such fillers: The use of lifting cylinders is no longer necessary and the conversion time is much shorter.
