The amount of formaldehyde released from the product is 4-5 times higher than the international standard, which is very harmful to consumers' health. At present, China is in the process of formulating national standards that are in line with international standards and has been implemented in some key enterprises. There are a few manufacturing enterprises, especially the foreign-made formaldehyde content of urea-formaldehyde rubber produced by foreign-funded enterprises has dropped below 0.1%. It is believed that during the "10th Five-Year Plan" period, urea-formaldehyde glues that meet international standards will be the leading products.

(3) neoprene adhesive (commonly known as all-purpose adhesive) has not adapted to development needs. The glue is a traditional bulk adhesive product in China and is mainly used in shoemaking, decoration industry and wood industry. Neoprene contains a large amount of toxic and harmful organic solvents, and has poor adhesion to soft PVC thermoplastic elastomers, polyurethanes and other new footwear materials. It has not been adapted to the development needs of the footwear industry. In the developed countries, footwear adhesives have been completely Use polyester and hot melt adhesives.

(4) The development of water-based adhesives has broad prospects. Water-based glue contains no organic solvents and no pollution. It is an environmentally friendly adhesive. Last year, China produced 681,000 tons of water-based rubber, with an average annual growth rate of 18.4%, which is one of the fastest-growing varieties. At the same time as the increase in production, the quality of products has also been continuously improved, and the number of varieties has increased. Some adhesives with high technical content and good performance continue to emerge. At present, in addition to the commonly used acrylic, polyvinyl acetate and VAE emulsions, research and development of polyurethane emulsions have also made progress, and will have very good prospects for development.

(5) Rapid development of hot-melt adhesives and hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesives. The hot-melt adhesive has no pollution, rapid curing, wide bonding surface, is suitable for continuous production, and is convenient for storage and transportation. (6) High-performance adhesives will develop rapidly. According to the market demand, in the future, the development focus of China's high-quality, high-performance adhesives will be modified acrylic adhesives, polyurethane adhesives, epoxy adhesives, and organic silicones.
