Japan's Dainippon Ink Company has recently produced an epoxy resin with a liquid, oligomeric, bifunctional molecular structure.

The resin has the characteristics of low viscosity, convenient use, excellent softness and toughness, high adhesive force, small hardening shrinkage and the like.

At present, epoxy resins on the market have the advantages of formability, heat resistance, adhesiveness, electrical insulation, etc. They are widely used in coatings, adhesives, printed circuit boards, and semiconductor sealing materials, but their disadvantages are that they are hard and easy. brittle. With the development of electronic technology, especially the development of technologies such as flexible wiring boards, the flexibility and toughness of epoxy resin itself are required. The epoxy resin developed by Dainippon Ink Company is expected to replace the market of some traditional epoxy resins.

It is reported that China has already supplied the epoxy resin. According to experts from China Epoxy Industry Association, it has five obvious features:

First, the viscosity is low, the operation is easy to use, the molecular weight-viscosity relationship is special, that is, the same molecular weight as the general-purpose BPA solid epoxy resin, the same viscosity as the general-purpose liquid BPA epoxy resin;

The second is superior softness and toughness, which can withstand repeated bending tests of 180 degrees:

Third, the adhesive force is extremely high, which is 1 to 4 times that of the general liquid BPA type epoxy resin;

Fourth, the shrinkage rate of hardening is extremely small, which is one-tenth to one-tenth that of traditional epoxy resin;

Fifth, there are few impurities and high purity, in which the chlorine impurity is 80% less than the common liquid BPA epoxy resin.

The product is expected to be used in China's electronic technology, advanced materials, special coatings, adhesives, carbon fiber composite materials.
