According to Yan Jiangyu, spokesperson of the State Food and Drug Administration, the General Administration of Administration dispatched 7 flight inspection teams, 10 sampling teams, and 3 unannounced visits to various places.

â–  The flight inspection team found that Shenzhen Sanya Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was suspected of forging official seals for the production and operation of counterfeit health food products. Guangdong Changxing Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and other seven companies had violations of laws and regulations regarding their production and operations.

â–  A total of 4 batches of illegally added drug positive samples were detected in the sampling group. There were 21 batches of product labeling information and approved content in the special sampling samples.

â–  Unannounced visits to the group found health food packaging label sales confusion, sales of health food illegal propaganda problems, sales of counterfeit health foods, sales of health food label identification is not standardized, illegal propaganda issues are more prominent, non-health food posing as health food problem.

Yan Jiangyun stated that administrative penalties imposed by food and drug regulatory authorities at all levels must be implemented quickly and severely. They must also be handled in accordance with regulations and procedures. Regarding the problems found, the General Administration of China has instructed the local Food and Drug Administration Bureau to seriously verify and strictly investigate and handle them strictly according to laws and regulations.
