1. First install the shading ring stand on the observation stand. During installation, the edge of the chassis must be aligned with the north-south direction, and the scale of the instrument should be pointed to the north-south direction (the shading ring screw adjustment screw handle faces north). Use the leveling ruler and three adjustment screws to adjust the level of the bottom plate, and then use bolts to fix the shading plate on the observation stand.

Install the total radiation meter horizontally on the platform in the shading ring, so that the terminal is facing north, and its position should be exactly so that the blackened sensing surface of the radiation meter is located in the center of the shading ring. Adjust the level of the total radiometer and fix it.
4. Adjust the shading ring to the corresponding position according to the solar declination of the day, so that the shading ring completely covers the sensing surface and the glass cover of the total radiometer.
5. Connect the wiring of the binding post to the recorder.
