· Generally need to make primer before UV glazing (that is, apply water-based glazing oil before glazing) to increase firmness (adhesion) and wear resistance. You can use ordinary water-based varnish for primer, if you use a special primer, the effect is better.
· In cigarette case packaging, UV glazing is widely used, especially in recent years, there is an upward trend. It is usually printed with UV ink and then coated with UV varnish. If printing with ordinary ink, the drying speed will be significantly slower and there may be poor adhesion of the ink to the varnish (that is, the glazing coating falls off).
2. Solvent-based (oily) varnish-low cost and potential safety hazards. The solvent here usually refers to alcohol or other alcohols. Usually the odor of this kind of glazing is slightly larger, the effect is good, and the cost is lower. However, there is a big safety risk because the high temperature during the glazing process may cause an explosion of alcohol.
After glazing, it can be calendered to improve the brightness and smoothness of the printed surface.
Due to the high cost, it is usually not suitable for online polishing.
3. Water-based (water-based) varnish—environmentally friendly, safe, and simple to dry
According to the glazing effect, it is usually divided into high wear resistance, high gloss, matt (including matting agent), calendered mirror surface, blister (battery, toothbrush box)
4. Varnish-no glazing machine is needed, local glazing is convenient
Its composition is similar to ink, and it can be printed on the paper like ink when used; partial polishing is relatively convenient.
