How to solve the slow drying of ink?

If the ink is firmly fixed, it is dried from the inside to the outside. In this case, although the surface of the ink solidifies against static pressure, the ink layer is not able to withstand friction.
The ordinary inks used for the printing of Zhang Keke are mainly dried by chemical reaction. The oxidization and polymerization of the ink turpentine are the functions promoted by the desiccant. It is an important component of the ink.
If the ink is not dry enough to resist the pressure of the next print, the paper cannot print the second color.
Worst of all, if the ink takes a long time to dry, the turpentine-containing medium will infiltrate into the paper too much and the ink film's lack of ability to bind the pigment may cause white deterioration. The operator should know that this kind of trouble is very complicated, and its production is based on ink, paper, printing conditions and other unbalanced factors.
Remedy
1. Temperature Because drying is a type of chemical reaction, temperature can affect the drying speed. Control the temperature of the paper or printing room if it is abnormal. At least 0°F from 60°F is ideal.
2. Desiccant If the amount of desiccant in the ink is not enough, pay attention to its characteristics and weight, add some desiccant to the ink. However, adding too much desiccant is not recommended. (Reference note)
3. Controlling moisturizing water too much Wetting moisture can make this trouble.
4. The humidity of the paper has too much moisture and slows down the drying. In this case, it is best to strengthen the desiccant.
5. The pH of the sink has too much acidity (low pH) to reduce the desiccant activity. The suitable range of PH is from 5.0 to 6.0. At a minimum, the pH should remain above 4.5.
6. PH value of the paper For the same reason as described above, it is very dangerous that the pH of the paper is too low. When the pH of the paper is too low, such as less than 4.5 for non-coated paper and less than 6.0 for coated paper, a strong desiccant or more usual amount of normal desiccant is required.
7. The composition of the bath fluid It is known that some synthetic chemicals in the bath fluid can have a negative effect on the drying rate.
8. Adding Varnish If you notice any trouble after finishing all the inks, you have to use varnishes to print them again.
