Jincheng Paper Group uses sewage to produce adhesives

Jincheng Paper Group, located on the east coast of Daling River in Jinzhou City, is a key enterprise in the national papermaking industry. In the past, the pulping system discharged a large amount of sewage to the Daling River. In July 2000, the group used the World Bank loan of 175 million yuan to construct a sewage treatment project. The project has been officially put into operation a few days ago, which not only solved the pollution of Daling River by pulping wastewater, but also produced adhesives through the effective use of pulp red liquor.

It is reported that the commencement of this environmental protection project will reduce the annual chemical oxygen demand in the discharge of Daling River by 45,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 68.55%, and suspended matter reduction by 34,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 81.21%. It can also produce 150,000 tons of adhesives and create profits of 30 million yuan for enterprises.
