A flange with a thinner thickness (3.2 mm) layer results in higher bending stress (vertical bending stress and lateral bending stress) but lower plane shear stress. If a better reinforcement material is applied to the composite slab beam, the maximum bending stress can be reduced; however, the weight of the beam increases and the processing cost increases.

The author believes that a double-layer flange composite slab beam is superior to other structural types of ebony OSB composite slab beam products in terms of process and engineering performance.
