A 3D printer is a device that can "print" a real 3D object. Like the laser forming technology, the 3D printer uses layered processing and superposition molding, that is, by adding materials one by one to generate 3D solids, and traditional removal processing. The technology is completely different. The so-called "printer" refers to its technical principle, because the process of layering is very similar to inkjet printing. With the continuous advancement of this technology, we have been able to produce 3D models that closely resemble the look, feel and function of prototypes.

To put it simply, 3D printing is the reverse process of tomography. Tomography is the process of “cutting” something into an infinite number of superimposed slices. 3D printing is a piece of printing, and then it is superimposed together to become a solid object.
