Cave Interiors: High-end Residential Projects in the UK and Overseas

Cave Interiors: High-end Residential Projects in the UK and Overseas Based in the picturesque area of Primrose Hill in London, Cave Interiors stands out as one of the House & Garden Top 100 interior design studios. Known for their expertise in high-end residential projects both within the UK and internationally, Cave Interiors is led by the creative director and founder Georgina Cave, along with her daughter Anouska. Their design philosophy goes beyond mere aesthetics, emphasizing sustainability and functionality while staying true to the architecture and individuality of each space. Their commitment to sustainability is evident in every project they undertake. Whether it's a contemporary urban residence or a sprawling country estate, Cave Interiors ensures that each home reflects the personality and lifestyle of its inhabitants. Take, for instance, their recent project at a new build house in Highgate, North London. The design brief included creating a seven-bedroom family home complete with six bathrooms, two guest WCs, multiple reception areas, a home cinema, study, gym, steam room, swimming pool, and a wine cellar in the newly formed basement. The streamlined modern kitchen with its two central islands became the heart of the home, embodying the essence of modern luxury living. Another notable project is the transformation of a prestigious three-bedroom garden maisonette in Primrose Hill following a flood. The aim was to create a contemporary yet eclectic space that would showcase the client's impressive collection of art and antiques. Cave Interiors achieved this by designing bespoke kitchens, bathrooms, and cabinetry, along with sourcing antique fireplaces, furniture, and soft furnishings. Hand-printed wallpapers and modern fabrics such as mohair and wool were also used to enhance the aesthetic appeal. In another project, the complete renovation and extension of a post-war house in Hampstead involved adding new architectural details such as oversized internal doors, skirting, cornices, and Crittall-style steel doors. Vintage finds and modern pieces, including several bespoke items, were carefully curated to blend seamlessly into the overall design. One of their most recent endeavors involved revamping a Victorian townhouse in Primrose Hill. Here, Cave Interiors focused on integrating reclaimed wood and tiled flooring, adding key pieces of joinery, furniture, and soft furnishings. They also provided consultation on the broader color scheme and other design elements to ensure cohesion throughout the property. For a project in West Hampstead, the team was tasked with redesigning the formal reception rooms in an Edwardian family home. This included bespoke joinery design, furniture selection, and soft furnishings. Additionally, they worked on the lighting design and re-framed and augmented the existing art collection to enhance the space. A standout piece from their collection is the Monocles Sideboard by Essential Home. Crafted entirely from solid walnut wood with gold-plated brass doors, this sideboard features engraved circles on the back and sides, giving it a unique character and high-end finish. It’s a perfect fit for retro or mid-century enthusiasts. Cave Interiors continues to inspire with their innovative designs and dedication to quality. Their projects are not just about creating beautiful spaces but about crafting environments that resonate deeply with their clients.
