Adhesive strength is an important factor in ensuring that the corrugated board becomes an integral structure, and plays an extremely important role in the combination of face paper and tile.
The importance of bonding in the production of corrugated board has already been mentioned in the front section of corrugated board bonding. However, one thing is that the bond strength is not necessarily stronger.
The aforementioned properties of several types of paperboard, puncture strength, flat compressive strength and vertical compressive strength, all of which are very susceptible to the thickness of the corrugated cardboard, but the adhesive strength is the opposite.
The adhesive strength of corrugated cardboard must be adhered to the minimum necessary range of face and paper.
According to GB6548, the basic principle is to insert steel needles in the corrugated cardboard to peel off. As shown below
Test methods can be divided into two kinds of tests and unilateral tests. Since the corrugated cardboard of the double side test was first peeled off on the side with poor adhesion, the adhesive strength on the weak side could only be measured. The double-sided test cannot fully measure the adhesive strength of corrugated cardboard. Only one-sided tests can reliably determine the adhesive strength of both sides of corrugated cardboard. The difference between these two test methods is that the position of the steel needle is completely different, which is easy to understand. The bond strength is based on the standards of GB6543, GB5083 and SN/T0262-93, and the value is 588N/m.
In addition, one of the characteristics of this test is that the thicker the face sheet, the stronger the rigidity of the face sheet and the higher the adhesive strength.
In general, the defect of the adhesive strength of corrugated cardboard is mainly due to the following reasons:
1, the adhesive itself has a problem.
2. The viscosity of paste liquid caused by errors in making and sticking is not stable.
3, when making paste, mistakes caused by the paste liquid can not meet the requirements.
4, due to high temperatures in the summer, the humidity deteriorated the paste and resulted in insufficient viscosity.
5, face paper or wavy moisture content too much water.
6, the use of paste is too small.
7, failed to adjust the paste according to the speed of bonding.
VII. Vertical Compressive Strength (Computer Measuring and Control Compression Tester)
The vertical compressive strength mainly refers to the compressive strength of the corrugated board placed in the upright state. It is a main characteristic that determines the compressive strength of the corrugated box. Its full view is shown in the figure:
