Floor knowledge

Items to be inspected before laminate flooring:

1) Board surface quality: The surface of the floor should be carefully inspected for any surface problems such as spots, dirt, paper shortage, broken paper, etc. If there is obvious abnormality, it should be removed or the useful part should be used reasonably according to the situation.

2) Calculate the area of the floor to be paved, and place the required floor on the ground to check whether there is any obvious color difference on the whole batch of boards. At this time, the light should be sufficient. It is best to carry out this inspection during the daytime. If there is an abnormality, adjust the floor. To ensure that there is no obvious color difference in the same room.

Common methods for installing laminate flooring:

1, glue type: moisture-proof PVAC D3 glue
2, glue method:
1) Gluing part: the upper edge of the groove.
2) Apply enough glue to protect the floor.
3) Wipe off any excess glue on the board with a damp cloth.

3, floor installation direction and light, etc.:

1) The visual effect is best when the installation direction of the floor is consistent with the direction of entering the room light.
2) Make sure the floor is always aligned vertically in a narrow hall.

4, installation method:

1) When installing the first floor along the wall, there should be a groove with one side facing the wall, and the wedge between the floor and the wall should be at least 10-15mm expansion joint, and the last plate remaining in the first row as the second The first block of the row (but the length should be greater than 20mm) to reduce waste.

2) Tap the floor with a clapper and a hammer, and put the boards together to avoid seams. The first three rows of the floor are not glued at all, and the wedges must be adjusted so that the three rows of floors are straight.

3) Apply glue in the first three rows and fix it with tension to allow the glue to dry for more than one hour. (Note: Make sure that the first three rows are installed straight, which is a guarantee that the entire room floor is flat and there are no problems such as excessive seams.)

4) To ensure that the seams are fully engaged, use a finger to wipe off the glue from the floor gap, otherwise use a tensioner to tighten.

5) All expansion joints (10-15mm) must be left between the floor and the wall. Pencils should be used to draw the required size on the last board of each row, and the floor should be cut and glued.

6) Tap the floor with a clapper, fix the floor in one piece, place the glue, and row in a row in this way.

7) After 60-90 minutes, use a metal spatula to remove any excess glue that has emerged from the floor (already transparent). Wipe off the remaining glue that has not solidified on the floor surface with a clean, damp cloth dampened with water.

8) Remove the temporary wedges and make sure there are expansion joints. Install the skirting board. The underside of the skirting board is compact with the floor surface. The baseboard should be mounted on the wall and not on the floor.

5, the treatment of the door and door cover:

1) Note that the door can still be freely opened and closed after the floor is installed. Take a piece of floor on top of the PE floor mat. If this makes the door unable to open and close, remove the door from the hinge and remove some of its parts.

2) There should be a certain gap between the floor and the wall at the door pocket. When installing to the door cover, if the door cover is too high, the lower end of the door cover should be sawed about 10mm. Install the floor under the door cover.

3) Be careful not to forget to leave the expansion joint.

6, note:

1) With suspension installation, the floor should not be fixed to the ground with glue, screws or nails.
2) Parallel floor heads are offset from each other by at least 200 mm.
3) In the foyer, the expansion joints are kept by the beading. When installing the floor of two adjacent rooms, the beading is also required to have the expansion joint.
4) Leave 8-15mm expansion joint between the floor and the fixture. When the floor installation length exceeds 8mm, it must be separated by a transition strip.
5) In order to ensure the use of the floor, the length of the floor of the seam must be ≥ 20cm, and the width of the floor on the side of the wall is ≥ 1/3 of the normal width of the floor.
6) Allow the glue to dry for 24 hours after loading to place things on it.

How to use the laminate flooring:

1. The baseboard is installed on the wall and cannot be installed on the floor.

2, use, cleaning, care guide:

1) No need to wax;
2) If water falls on the ground, immediately wipe it off;
3) Daily cleaning: Clean with a vacuum cleaner, dry broom and wrung mop. If there is any stain, use water (add appropriate amount of vinegar, ratio 1:10) to remove immediately. Do not use sandpaper, abrasive agent or steel ball.
4) If you are stubborn, use a special cleaning agent for the floor, then wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use sandpaper, abrasives, or steel balls.
5) Steam cleaners are not suitable for cleaning floors.
6) Place a carpet at the entrance to prevent the floor from being worn by sand and the like.
7) It is best to wrap the legs of the chair with a towel, etc. When moving the furniture, do not drag heavy objects on the floor.
8) For chairs in the office environment, a softer chair wheel ("W" type) is recommended.

3, the use of the floor and the environment: surface temperature ≥ 15 ° C: air temperature is 18-24 ° C, relative humidity is 45-65%. In the hot season, the relative humidity can be greatly reduced. Drying can increase the seam between the floors, but it will become smaller after the summer.
