How to reduce smudging and scratching during card printing

Dirty or scratched phenomena are often encountered in card printing, especially glossy paper or PVC cards. How to overcome this kind of ills has become an unavoidable problem for some high-end users. As a manufacturer of card printing presses, we are obliged, and we should urgently seek solutions for users.

First analyze the source of the problem:

One. Paper feeding process.

For all machines of the lower paper feeding mode except the vacuum suction upper paper feeding mode, the above-mentioned smearing or scratching phenomenon exists, the main reasons are:

1. The bottom paper stack (cards) has a certain pressure on the bottom card. When the bottom card enters the printing cylinder, the ink that has not been dried last time will rub on the back of the previous card;

2. The same reason as above, when printing hard cards such as PVC, if there are burrs on the back of the card, it will scratch the back of the previous card;

3. If there are scratches or burrs on the platform of the paper feed path, the back side of the card being entered will also be scratched;

4. The entrance of the double-feed limit plate is too tight, and the front and back sides of the card being entered are scratched;

5. If the edge of the surface of the paper pusher is not deburred, it may scratch the back of the card to be fed when returning.

two. Paper output process.

As for the card printing machine's feature of full-plate printing without gripping teeth, the scratches generated between the card and the scraper during the paper discharge process are also very problematic. First look at the reasons:

1. The adhesive force between the jammed paper and the rubber roller is too large;
2. The scraper is too dirty or has burrs.

Based on the above analysis, the following enumerates the methods to eliminate or reduce the scratching phenomenon:

(One). Paper feeding process.

1. Do not add too many cards at one time in the carton, and try to reduce the pressure;
2. When printing hard cards such as PVC, you should first check and remove burrs on the edges of the cards;
3. Use fine sandpaper to remove all raised burrs on the platform;
4. Be sure to adjust the entrance gap of the double-feed limit plate before printing;
5. Use fine sandpaper to trim all burrs on the edge of the paper pusher.

(two). Paper output process.

1. Reduce the viscosity of ink (add proper amount of adjusting ink; add proper amount of viscosity reducer; add proper amount of raw meal powder); avoid excessive printing pressure; reduce the number of manual transfers before printing; try to scrub the rubber cylinder when printing after shutdown The amount of water supply should not be too large; the heavy ink color version should be printed first as much as possible during color printing; non-glossy paper should be used as much as possible.
2. Clean the scraper frequently; use fine sandpaper to remove the raised burrs on the scraper.
