Acceptance of the first nano-ion probe introduced by China through acceptance The acceptance of the first Nano-SIMS 50L type nano-ion probe introduced by China was recently held at the Institute of Geophysics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Researcher Wu Fuyuan, deputy director of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as the team leader's expert group, listened carefully to the acceptance report made by Dr. Fran? Ois Hillion, the designer of the nano ion probe of CAMECA in France. The expert group asked questions about the acceptance index of the instrument, and agreed that the technical parameters of the instrument not only all met the contract requirements, but most of them were better than the acceptance index required by the contract. The nano ion probe has a very high spatial resolution (Cs + source beam spot is less than 50nm, O- source beam spot is less than 200nm), complementary to the existing CAMECA ims 1280 high-precision ion probe, which constitutes a very advanced Ion probe analysis platform. The newly introduced NanoSIMS 50L nano-ion probe is equipped with 7 signal detectors (each equipped with a Faraday cup and electron multiplier), which can measure 7 isotopes (or elements) at the same time, and the analysis accuracy is better than one thousandth. The instrument can analyze all isotopes (elements) from H to U in the periodic table except for rare gases, and can obtain high-resolution images of isotope distribution. The introduction of nano-ion probes provides a new large-scale experimental analysis platform for China's comparative planetary sciences, earth sciences, material sciences, and life sciences.
