They can improve the vividness of the color of the products, and can also change the color rendering effect. They are new materials for packaging, printing, and color printing.

Pearlescent materials are mainly divided into the following categories:

Pearl powder

Pearl powder is divided into ordinary powdered pearlescent materials and pearl balls with soft resin dispersion. The colors are mainly silver, bright gold, metallic, rainbow interference colors and chameleon series. The pearl powder is different according to the use direction and the use effect. The difference in particle size, the smaller the particle size, the stronger the hiding power of pearl powder; the larger the particle size, the stronger the gloss of pearl powder; the stricter particle size requirements in the printing industry, the small particle size can be used for offset printing, Large particle sizes can be used for flexo and gravure and have better results.

2. Pearlescent pulp

Pearlescent pulp is a high viscosity viscous pearlescent material, which is more suitable for mixing with offset inks. It has excellent hiding power and good gloss and is suitable for offset printing.

In the use of pearlescent materials, there are the following methods:

1. In offset printing, pearlite powder with smaller particle size is selected and mixed with printing ink in a certain proportion, and then printed; or water-based, UV polishing system is used to add a certain proportion of pearl powder to polishing coating oil. Coating, the effect is better; pearl pulp and offset printing ink mixed by a certain ratio printing can greatly improve the ink brightness and Zhu Guang effect;

2. Intaglio printing and flexographic printing use the pearl powder with the corresponding particle size of the printing plate and the ink to be mixed;

3. The pearlescent effect is related to the bearing capacity and mixing ratio of the pearl ink.
